Mbaitu has organized virtual and in-person events one of the prominent hosting the three governors of South Eastern Kenya H.E Gov. Charity Ngilu, H.E Gov. Dr. Alfred Mutua, H.E Prof. Kivutha Kibwana. The Mbaitu Inc. launch, investment meetings, educative forums, annual gatherings bringing together members from USA & Canada.
Mbaitu inc. has hosted virtual and in person events with an aim of giving the members an opportunity to empower each other, share information, ideas and to network. The most prominent was held last year when Mbaitu inc. hosted the three governors of the Southeastern Kenya region: H.E Gov. Charity Ngilu, H.E Gov. Dr. Alfred Mutua, H.E Prof. Kivutha Kibwana. We have also had the launch event which was grace by H.E Prof. Kivutha Kibwana, a food and seed drive which was graced by H.E Gov. Charity Ngilu. We have had empowerment webinars by banks in Kenya and investors in Kenya.
We desire to have a grand dinner once in every three years, this will be our opportunity to learn from each other through panel discussions, invite guests from our counties to showcase talent, culture to the diaspora and our friends from other nations. Market our merchandise. This will also be an opportunity for our children born in the diaspora to learn about our culture. We will also continue to have empowerment seminars covering topics such as home ownership, water in out counties, and hearing from experts on different topics: health, finances, immigration to mention but a few. We also have very vinrant whatsapp groups where members stay engaged, Fb page and other social media platforms. Many of our members say that ever since they joined Mbaitu they have connected with other from the region that they previously did not know.
Through the grand dinner held once in three years, guests will hear through panel discussions from expertise in all fields among us: Business, health, education, psychology, investments, wealth management, Nutrition to mention a few. The idea of these discussion forums is to enable us to thrive while in the diaspora. We will all of us will have an opportunity to network with the professionals in our counties and share our expertise even as we learn from them when we want to invest, give back etc through the guidance of the county leadership we will be able to share in our areas of strengths. Mbaitu mission trips will enable us to share our expertise with the county professional including and not limited to academia, health, Business, investments etc we will also strive to be a part of the development work on the ground when opportunities arise or when called upon.
Through our website, Facebook page and all other social media platforms and our grand dinner events we will seek to promote the South Eastern Kenya region: culture, history, tourism attraction areas, interesting facts about the region, Historical heroines and heros from the region.
Mbaitu inc. Aspires to organize summer trips for members and their children who either immigrated young or were born in the diaspora.
These trips will be 10 day trips covering the three counties of South Eastern Kenya. There will be educational trips to enable the youth to learn about the region, significant places, learn about the culture, tradition, art and history of the place, visit parks such as Tsavo that are a part of the region and other tourist attraction places.
During these tours the youth can visit schools and make friends who they share experiences with, tour government offices, hospitals, markets, carving sites, basketry sites and all that is unique about the region. The youth will also be able to meet other youth from different States who they can learn and parents too. Networking and getting to know each other is a big part of Mbaitu’s mission.
